After the endearing story of Anandi – Akshay and the jhatkas of sultry sirens in Dancing Queen, ‘COLORS’ now plans to bring to it’s viewers an itsy-bitsy bundle of joy Chandni – through a new show Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari. After presenting myriad hues of emotions, ‘COLORS’ will now be celebrating the girl child by welcoming Chandni to their family. Mere Ghar Aayi Ek Nanhi Pari is the story of the Chawla family from Delhi’s Chandni Chowk that will be experiencing the birth of a daughter after eighteen years! This story is all about celebrating life and welcoming Lakshmi’s avatar in the family. The show will be aired on the channel from March 9, every week night at 9.30 PM.

The concept of the show revolves around Chandni - the beloved little girl of a family of partition survivors - set against the shadows of India’s partition. This is a heartwarming story of a family in the heart of Delhi’s bustling Chandni Chowk, where a sweet meat seller lives the life of quite contentment with his family. The story charts the ups and downs of Chandni’s life and how her family supports her through everything. Mere Ghar Aye Ek Nani Pari is a celebration of love and life and more importantly it celebrates the girl child and her rights.
It is a story of a family that is deep-rooted with love. Roshan Lal also known as Lalaji, a survivor of the partition meets and marries another survivor, fiery young woman Guneeta Kaur and together they decide to settle in Chandni Chowk. The only possession Roshan has with him is his recipe of ‘Immarti’ sweet that leads him to set up his own sweet shop and becomes quite a rage amongst his pa
trons. The Chawla family has everything except for a girl child. Their desire is fulfilled when Chandni’s is born into their family. Instantly, she becomes the centre of everyone’s attention and at no point of time she is left alone. Her birthday becomes the biggest celebration in the family every year. Even her smallest activity such as going to school and first dentist appointment becomes a family affair. The entire household is involved in Chandni’s life out of sheer love for her.
