Fitness plays a major role in our lives; staying fit and healthy has become essential these days and the pressure is on for celebrities. Staying in shape is a must for those in the public eye – so, it is time to see what they are doing to win the battle of the bulge. For our Tellywatch column on fitness, Shalini Khanna talks about fitness and healthy living.
My workout regime…
I just do one hour of basic yoga and close to two hours of dancing. I do keep a mix of the dance forms from bollywood numbers to jazz to hip-hop to salsa.
My daily diet…
I stick to a normal pattern and have six small meals everyday. I also take a lot of fruit juices at regular intervals. I am a big foodie and my food includes from having rich proteins to lots of butter and ghee. I am happy that I have a natural tendency of not gaining weight whatsoever. And it is fun to know that people feel jealous about my diet; people usually go on crash diets to lose weight but in my case I follow crash diets to gain weight.
My happiness quotient…
I always look forward to dancing.
On a rainy day, my idea of a workout would be…
Nothing at all…just may be cozy up in a blanket and watch a nice movie with some nice hot pakoras.
My idea of relaxation…
Watching a movie or dancing for good numbers.
Size zero to you is…<
br />I think that I am size zero (laughs). There is nothing really called a size-zero that exists; it is a glorified definition of the small and the minimum size that one can have. I am blessed to naturally have a lean frame and eat what I want.
I crave for…
Anything that is well cooked and well served.
A lifestyle change I’m trying to make…
As far as my fitness is concerned, I want to be more diligent about dancing and have a balanced diet as well.
Fitness mantra…
Stay happy and healthy always; keep fit according to what works best for you.
